Welcome to Living Wilderness Bushcraft School

Welcome to the ‘Living Wilderness Bushcraft School’. Based in a beautiful native woodland in Lisnavagh Co. Carlow Ireland, we are a wilderness living and nature education centre offering courses in Bushcraft, Nature awareness, Traditional crafts and Self reliance. We wish to bring you an ever growing array of courses including Self Sufficiency and Permaculture, designed to teach you to be more self reliant and to bring you into a more symbiotic relationship with the world in which we live.

Living Wilderness Bushcraft school grew out of a passion for the outdoors, mother nature and the lives we lead in it. Spending time in the wilderness is not only fun and exciting but with the right skills can be a deeply rewarding experience. Learning to identify the plants, trees & animals around you can make the world a much richer place and learning to spot the resources available to you be it food, fire wood, medicine or cordage and how to make fire and shelter from scratch can make a place that seems isolated into somewhere that feels like your own personal supermarket with apartment rolled into one. Understanding these skills can also bring you into a deeper understanding of our amazing Irish landscape, the world around us and how we interact with it, leading to a healther and happier life.

We are offering a range of courses covering a variety of topics with more being added as time goes on. These will include...
•    Bushcraft
•    Ecology and Nature Awareness
•    Wildlife Tracking & Awareness
•    Traditional crafts & Primative skills
•    Medicinal Plants & Wild Edibles
•    Permaculture & Sustainable Living

We will be continually updating this site so please check back regularly. You can also register with us on this page and you will recieve updates of our new and upcoming courses, special offers, articles and videos. If you have any comments or suggestions please don’t hesitate to email us.
